  19.    Well it is finally up and running. After another 4 hours of effort, I
  20. have the Intel LW up and running. I chose the Install for NT option for the
  21. installation.
  22.    As some of you may recall, I don't have a CD-ROM and couldn't install the
  23. software without one. (dispite what NewTek cust support told me) I ended up
  24. copying files off the CD on a friends CD-ROM onto a ZIP disk. But it wasn't
  25. hassle free.

  27.    The LW installation program demands that all the files it is looking for
  28. be there, or the installation will abort. In other words, if you choose to
  29. install any objects, you must have ALL the objects on the disk. If one is
  30. missing... no go. Fortunately I was able to see enough of the progress to
  31. see what files were being copied, and was able to figgure out what
  32. directories were being copied to what directories on my hard drive. So I
  33. could manually do much of what the install program wouldn't do.
  34.     However, I still have a problem. Every time I attempt to load a sample
  35. scene, every individual object or picture, etc. must be individually
  36. manually locaded on my hard drive. LW can't seem to find any of the objects
  37. that it didn't automaticaly install.
  38.     Of course, neither the installation manual nor the reference manual give
  39. any details on doing a manual install. Why, they only refer to "insert
  40. floppy disk #1" etc. So you are left to guessing with trial and error.

  42.    Would there happen to be a text file somewhere that describes some of the
  43. details of installing LW for intel? I would hope that NewTek would put out
  44. something themselves, since the installation manual they are shipping is so
  45. useless.
